In Papua New Guinea, smallholder farmers make up 80% of the coffee industry. However, many of these areas lack proper road infrastructure. As a result, farmers are often forced to carry their coffee long distances to reach collection points, to earn income to support their families. Tribal Coffee's farm and factory are situated in the infamous Nebilyer Valley which has famously been negatively impacted by generational tribal warfare. The international documentaries by Bob Connoly & Late Robin Anderson, "Joe Leahy's Neighbors" and "Black Harvest" capture these thrilling tales vividly.

We represent so much more than an amazing cup of coffee. Our operations provide tangible support and hope for our people impacted by Tribal fighting.
